The latest monthly excursion for Peter Ward and myself. This is one from a photograph I'd taken a few days before the start of the month whilst walking in the Lakes. There seemed to be lots of foxglove pictures around particularly from the prolific Jean Haines. So it should be interesting to see the variation in approaches to this subject.

Beautiful. Great job of the soft background.
Have a great creative week.
Interesting Mick.Mine's all ready to go but I wasn't going to post it until the 1st. Maybe I'll have a rethink. Yours and mine are not a million miles away although I've three variations!
Beautiful watercolour!
Warm regards.
Oh yes this is VERY nice, the foxgloves certainly seem to be thriving this summer, they're everywhere - they must like rain!!!
This is just lovely Mick. I would need a very steady hand to achieve your level of expertise. What colour is the pink? Have posted Charlie's photo.
Great one Mick. Loving the softness, the light and the recession. Spot on.
Nora - Thanks. I'm managing to get in a bit of painting time at present. Hoping it pays dividends.
Peter - It would be interesting to see the various approaches you've adopted.
Konstantina - Thanks for your visit and kind words.
Sharon - Yes it has been a good year for foxgloves. They are interesting additions to our countryside and great subjects for we painters.
Ray - I don't have a steady hand, I've just developed ways of supporting the hand when making marks. Glad you like it. The colour is Permanent Rose. Thanks for the update on Charlie's portrait I've had a look and you did a good job.
Laura - Thanks for the kindness and encouragement.
