Plums

I'm really in the zone as far as these small still life paintings are concerned. Today I had a real feeling that I was starting to concentrate and see shapes in a way that I wasn't just a week ago. Daily work has obvious benefits and I am determined to try to become more disciplined in painting/ drawing on a daily basis.

I think you are too! I just ordered Carol Marin's book Daily Painting from Amazon. To see if I had missed anything. Painting small is very confining to me, so I paint larger every day. You seem to be handling the small format very well. This one is your best.

Linda - You've just raided my savings, I've also bought the Carol Marine book. I'm finding that painting on small boards is a good way to concentrate on the placement of brush strokes, so hopefully I can benefit from the discipline.

Looks really good - love the variety of colors. Painting small makes you concentrate more, I think, although I've never done oils. Good luck for a wonderfully creative 2015!

Rhonda - Same to you, keep exploring your creativity in the way that you have. Your commitment to furthering your development is an inspiration.
