Single Sorrento

I took out one of yesterday's lemons and put it in the still life box. This is the result.

This lemon looks lonely next to yesterday's lemons, but well done. Yesterday's lemons have compositional interest. These sketches are getting better and better. Your concentration is paying off. Hi Mick!,

I like - sometimes when life hands you a lemon, you paint it! I like the textured look to the bg on this one and the spirals of the lemon...

Looking better and better Mick, though still a little cut-out like. What about the reflected light?

Hi Linda - as always thanks for the interest and insightful comment.

Rhonda - Thanks for the kind words.

Ray - The reflected light issue - to be honest my concentration on other issues, like value, has left me neglecting other things like reflected light. Sorry, long way to go to remember everything.

Sorry not to have commented on the new series of paintings, Mick, but things have been hectic.
Really like some of the work you are doing now. This medium obviously suits you.

Yvonne - Thanks for pitching in and delighted that you think there is a medium that suits. ope everything is OK and it's just work and art that are falling your time.
