So the spirits have conspired once again to keep me from packing the oils. Emergency baby sitting and other jobs all fell on the days when the sun shone and the wind receded. Today back to gales and rain, but the kitchen has become my bolt hole on days like this. So another still life appears.

Nice one Mick. Only comment would be to connect the bottle to the objects on the left, perhaps by a shadow.
Cheers, Peter. Of course you are right and in fact you might be able to discern a pencil outline of the butter dish to the left of the bottle, which for one reason or another didn't make it to the final washes.
I agree with Peter about the bottle. Apart from that you have done a first class job on the still life, there is a lot here to paint this would take me hours. You have worked confidently with those fresh loose washes Mick. The colours are really beautiful.
Caroline - Once again thanks. I think the odd little adjustment in the way that you and Peter suggest could finish this off and make an okay picture.
Nice work Mick! Watercolor really seems to agree with you.
Dan - Thanks. You're right I do enjoy watercolour and when it's not possible to get out for whatever reason it always gives the opportunity to make images. I'm getting desperate to acquire proper studio space to increase the chances of working with the oils.
good to see you are accepting the moment mick...this looks fresh, looks like you put it down without fussing.
lovely subtle colors
Rob - Thanks. The important thing is doing it even if you can't get out to do what you you would choose on the day. There's still lots to be thankful for in that there is always something that will catch your attention and give you something to paint.
